Mix ratio
Follow the concentrate-to-water ratio from the supplier. Too little sugar will not freeze right; too heavy strains the drive and pours like paste.
Do not run nearly empty for long
The auger needs enough liquid level. Dry or near-dry running accelerates wear.
Overnight
Some units have a hold mode. If not, drain and clean instead of leaving mix to separate overnight and taste different in the morning.
